There are many different types of envelope to choose from, it is important you choose the correct envelope.

Bubble Padded Envelopes and Mail Bags come in many shapes and sizes, which protect and secure their contents whilst in transit.


Care should be taken when choosing the right Envelope the most commonly used envelope sizes are C4, C5, C6 and DL, used for stationery sizes A4, A5, A6 which is readily available in Leaflets, Flyers and Brochures.

The Perfect Envelope for a DL Leaflet or Flyer (folded document) which is an A4 sheet folded down to 3 equal sections making a folded DL Leaflet or Flyer easier to distribute. Most common Envelope when sending out branded stationery in the form of a letter, but not ideal for more important documents. DL Envelopes measure 220mm(w) and 110mm(h).

    Plain Envelopes

    Plain Envelopes need an address label or writen details printed directly onto the front of the Envelope as its contents are completley sealed and therefore not visible. Ideal for less informal documents or indeed a more secure form of postage.


    Window Envelopes

    When sending Business mail via Window Envelopes the interior is woven ensuring the contents of the letter remains confidential. With peel & seal, making these the ideal Envelope for sending out brochures and reports etc.


    Gummed Flap Envelopes

    The more traditional Gummed Flap Envelopes need to be first moistened to seal down the envelope flap, used for manual sealing.


    Self-Seal Envelopes

    The more modern and often prefered Self-seal Envelopes seal on contact without the need for moistening, the envelope either has a protective cover over the sticky part, known as Peal & Seal - Simply peel away the release tape from the envelope flap to reveal a thick layer of adhesive, which seals instantly. Alternatively press the two layers of adhesive (one on each flap) together to form an instantly strong bond. Seal strength has a shelf life of approximately 6 months.
